Saint Nerses the Great

St Nerses the Great, the father of St Isaac the great, died in the year 373 AD. He received his education at Cappadocia.

His wife was a princess of the Mamikonian family. He was a Catholicos in the year 353 AD. Nerses was exiled due to some of his proposed reforms which displeased King Arshak III until recalled in the year 369 AD by King Pap who after 4 years murdered him by poisoning.

Saint James of Sasseau

St James of Sasseau was born in Constantinople (modern Istanbul, Turkey).

He was an army officer who travelled extensively. He was eventually assigned to Gaul where he retired.

He was also a Priest at Clermont, France, a Benedictine monk at Bourges, France and a hermit at Sasseau, France. He died in the year 865 AD as a result of natural causes.

St Atto of Tordino a Benedictine monk was the first Abbot of Tordino Abbey near Teramo, Italy in the year 1004 AD. He died in the year 1010 AD.
