Blessed Guy of Durnes

Blessed Guy of Durnes was a Cistercian Benedictine monk at Clairvaux, France. He was one of St Bernard of Clairvaux’s most beloved disciples. He was the founder and abbot of the abbey of Our Lady of Cherlieu in the diocese of Besancon, France.

Blessed Guy revised the Cistercian liturgical chant after Saint Bernard’s made a request to him. In 1157 AD, he died of natural causes.
