St. Paul of Trois Châteaux Biography
He was born in Rheims, Gaul, France where he later fled his home to escape the Germanic tribes invading the northern provinces of the Roman empire. He thereby became a hermit near Arles, France and afterward a reluctant Bishop of the former Diocese of Saint-Paul-Trois-Châteaux (then Augusta Tricastinorum ), France.
