St Secundus of Asti was born in the mid 2nd century. He was Born to the patrician class and was a Soldier. Secundus was a subaltern officer in the imperial Roman army, a low rank which probably indicates he was a young man. He Converted to Christianity, baptized in Milan, Italy.
He fled to his family in Asti, Italy after he had illegally gave a Christian burial to the martyr Saint Marcian of Tortona. While there he was arrested, tortured and beheaded. Martyr.
