Saint’s Biography
Saint Torpes of Pisa was murdered during the persecutions of Nero. He became a Christian after being converted by Saint Paul. He openly talked about his faith during a ceremony in which Nero attended. After St. Torpes declared himself a Christian, Nero did not want to kill him and instead asked him to renounce his faith. When he refused to do so, Nero had him beheaded.
