Saint’s Biography
Saint Turibius of Astorga was born 402 AD from a noble family. As a young man St. Turibius went on a pilgrimage to the Holy Land and lived here for a certain period and came into contact with the famous Saint Jerome. He took a hermit’s life and finally he was made a bishop of the city of Astorga. By order of the by Pope St. Leo the Great.
St. Turibius of Astorga Death
He died in 460 AD in Tui, Spain of natural causes and he s buried at the monastery of Santo Toribio de Liébana, Cantabria, Spain.
