St Florentius of Algeria Life History

St Fiorenzo of Algeria was the fifth-century bishop in North Africa and the leader of a Council called to express clear defense of the Catholic faith during a period of pagan suppression. St Fiorenzo was exiled to the Mediterranean island of Corsica in 484 in the purges and persecutions of the Arian King Hunneric. Martyr. He was beheaded in 485 on Corsica and his remains brought to Italy by Bishop Titian of Treviso 743 AD to prevent their destruction by Saracen invaders.
