Archangel Micheal is the only Angel mentioned in three different texts of three different religions. He is not only mentioned in the Bible but also in the Muslim and Jewish texts.

In the Roman Catholic church, he is referred to as “Saint Michael the Archangel” and “Saint Michael.” In the New Testament, Archangel Micheal is seen leading the army of heaven against the Devil in Revelations.

We pray the Chaplet of St Michael to honour him alongside the other nine Choirs of Angels. The nine Choirs of Angels comprise of the;

The Seraphim is the highest Choir and the Angelic Choir is the lowest.
The Chaplet of St Michael was invented by Antónia de Astónaco, a Portuguese Carmelite nun who received a revelation from Archangel Michael who instructed her to honour him by saying the nine salutations to the nine Choirs of Angels.
St Michael the Archangel made these promises to those who pray the Chaplet of St Michael:
- The faithful would be escorted by nine angels, each from the nine choirs while going to receive the Holy Communion
- If the faithful prays the Chaplet of St Michael daily, they will enjoy continued assistance from him during their lifetime, and also after they die, they and their faithful relatives will be delivered from purgatory.
The Chaplet of St Michael prayer is usually prayed with a chaplet while counting the prayers just like in the rosary.
