Blessed’s Biography
Blessed Gamelbert of Michaelsbuch was born in 720 in Bavaria in Germany and came from a rich family. Gamelbert went to Rome on pilgrimage. While there he became a priest working for over 50 years as a parish priest Michaelsbuch. He founded the 766 the Benedictine Metten Abbey in Germany. He died on January 17 802 of natural causes.
