Blessed Isidore Ngei Ko Lat was a young layman catechist in the diocese of Loikaw, Myanmar. He was born on September 7 1918 in Ahtet Tawpon, Kayin, Myanmar and died as a martyr on May 24 1950 in Shadaw, Kayah, Myanmar together with his priest Blessed Mario Vergara.
He was beatified by Pope Francis on May 24 2014 and the ceremony was presided over by Cardinal Angelo Amato at the Cathedral of San Paolo, Aversa, Caserta, Italy.
We celebrate his feast day on May 24 every year in the Catholic Church.
