The remains of Blessed Maria Gargani were brought to the motherhouse of the Sisters Apostles of the Sacred Heart on May 17 1992 and preserved there.
She was beatified on June 2 2018 by Pope Francis in a ceremony presided over by Cardinal Angelo Amato at the cathedral of Naples, Italy.
This was after the approval of a miracle of the healing of Michelina Formichella of Torrecuso, Benevento, Italy in 1975 was attributed to her intercession.
