Blessed’s Biography
Blessed Tit Liviu Chinezu was the son of a Roman-born priest. In 1325 he went to Rome to study at Sant’Atanasio College and became a Doctor of Saint Theology at the Pontificium Institute Internationale Angelicum. He became a priest in 1930. Arrested in October 1948 by the authorities of the new communist regime, who declared the United Church to be illegal within Rome. Titu was secretly ordained bishop in December 1949 by other bishop detainees. Titu died on 15 January 1955 in of hypothermia in Romania.
