Saint’s Biography
In Rome, Italy, Saint Ephysius gained the favor of Emperor Diocletian, who appointed him governor of the island of Sardinia. When he converted to Christianity, the emperor had him removed from office, tortured and killed. He was beheaded in Sardinia in 303 and his relics were transferred to Pisa.
