St Simeon Stylites the Younger, also known as Simeon of the Admirable Mountain, was a priest and the son of Saint Marthe. He was born in 521 AD in Antioch and died in 597 AD in Samandağ, Turkey. We celebrate his feast day on May 24 every year in the Catholic Church.

Saint’s Biography
Saint Simeon Stylites the Younger was the son of Saint Marthe. His father died when the boy was five years old, and he became the ward of a monk named John who lived nearby.
At 35 Simeon became a priest and anchorite and wrote several treatises on asceticism and was endowed with great charisms. He the Younger died peacefully in 597.
